Joey Galloway...potential Steeler?

Joey Galloway met with the Pittsburgh Steelers yesterday as the team is searching for a bona fide 3rd receiver. Galloway is a very capable 1 yr stop gap.

The Steelers have a young, talented receiver in Limas Sweed, but many football people claim it takes 3 years to fully develop into a capable receiver in the NFL. Obviously there are exceptions to the rule, but many receivers fall into that category.

Galloway is 37 years old and may have a solid season left in him. Galloway had a down season last year as he missed half of the season due to injury.

That said, he had 3 consecutive 1,000 yard receiving seasons in 2005, 2006, and 2007.

If he is willing to play for the veteran minimum, he would be a fantastic free agent signing for the Steelers.
