The Steelers are meeting with 25 year old CB/KR Chris Carr today to discuss a future in Pittsburgh. Carr was signed as an undrafted free agent in 2005 before joining the Titans last season.Carr said that he will go where he has the greatest opportunity to play. Given that the Steelers just lost Bryant McFadden via free agency, they have a void to fill at CB. Currently, William Gay is the Steelers only option at #2 CB. Deshea Townsend is still around, but at 35 he cannot realistically be asked to play every down.
Aside from CB, Carr is an excellend kick returner. The Steelers do not have a kick returner and need to upgrade their yards per return average. Carr's return average was 4th best in the NFL last season 28.1 yards per return.
