Reports are surfacing with news that up to 5 teams have serious interest in free agent WR Nate Washington. Washington had the best season of his career last year in Pittsburgh and solidified himself a decent contract this off-season. Supposedly, Washington is seeking 7-8 million dollars guaranteed over the life of a 3 year deal.The team most interested is reported to be the Detroit Lions and they are flying him in today to meet with the team. He was originally scheduled to meet on Saturday, but the Lions are moving quickly before other interested teams have a chance to meet with him.
Side note: The Lions are also reported to have interest in free agent CB Bryant McFadden.
If I were looking to rebuild the worst team in football, I too would start by signing as many former Pittsburgh Steelers as possible as well.
