Lawrence Timmons quietly had an amazing season

Lawrence Timmons quietly had a very impressive season. Timmons only started two games, yet received adequate playing time most of the season. As the season wore on, Timmons adapted to his pass rushing role and started to become a force.

However, it wasn't until I reviewed some stats that I began to realize just how special of a player Timmons is going to be. In a limited role, Timmons had more tackles for the season than Lamaar Woodley and Larry Foote. What I found to be very shocking were Timmons's numbers compared to Larry Foote.....

Foote: 63 tackles, 1.5 sacks, & 1 FF
Timmons: 65 tackles, 5 sacks, & 1 INT.

In fact, Timmons tied Ike Taylor in tackles and had only 8 tackles less than Troy Polamalu.

Timmons is a budding superstar and our LB corps should be even better next season.
